Terms and Conditions for UK Driving Instructor Services

1. Introduction

These terms and conditions govern the provision of driving instruction services (the “Services”) offered by [JAM School of Motoring] (hereinafter referred to as “the Instructor” or “we”) to individuals (hereinafter referred to as “the Student” or “you”). By booking and participating in driving lessons with us, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

2. Booking and Payment

  • All driving lessons must be booked in advance and confirmed by both parties.
  • Payment for lessons must be made in advance, unless otherwise agreed upon by the Instructor.
  • Lesson rates are as communicated to the Student at the time of booking and are subject to change at the discretion of the Instructor.

3. Lesson Cancellation and Rescheduling

  • The Student agrees to provide a minimum of 48 hours’ notice for the cancellation or rescheduling of a lesson.
  • Failure to provide the required notice will result in the full lesson fee being charged to the Student.
  • Cancellations or rescheduling requests must be made directly to the Instructor via phone call or text message.

4. Withdrawal of Use of the Car Policy

  • The Instructor reserves the right to withdraw the use of the vehicle if, in the Instructor’s professional judgment, the Student is not adequately prepared for the practical driving test.
  • Prior to any withdrawal, the Instructor will provide constructive feedback and recommendations for further practice to the Student.
  • The Student may be required to undergo additional lessons or practice before the use of the vehicle can be reinstated for practical driving test preparation.

5. No Smoking Policy

  • Smoking is strictly prohibited in the Instructor’s vehicle at all times.
  • The Student agrees to refrain from smoking or carrying any smoking-related paraphernalia during lessons.

6. Conduct and Behaviour

  • The Student agrees to arrive punctually for each lesson at the agreed-upon meeting point.
  • The Student must hold a valid provisional driving licence and present it to the Instructor before commencing their first lesson.
  • The Student agrees to conduct themselves in a respectful and courteous manner towards the Instructor at all times.
  • Any abusive or disruptive behaviour will result in the immediate termination of the lesson, and the Student may be refused further instruction.

7. Liability and Insurance

  • The Instructor holds valid liability insurance covering the provision of driving instruction services.
  • The Instructor is not liable for any loss, damage, or injury incurred by the Student during the course of a lesson, except where such loss, damage, or injury arises as a direct result of the Instructor’s negligence.

8. Vehicle Use

  • The Student agrees to treat the Instructor’s vehicle with care and respect.
  • The Student will be liable for any damage caused to the vehicle as a result of negligence or misconduct during a lesson.

9. Confidentiality

  • Any personal information provided by the Student will be treated confidentially and used solely for the purpose of providing the Services.

10. Amendments to Terms and Conditions

  • These terms and conditions may be amended or updated by the Instructor from time to time. Any changes will be communicated to the Student in writing.

11. Governing Law

  • These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes arising out of or in connection with them shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

By booking and participating in driving lessons with the Instructor, the Student acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to abide by these terms and conditions.
